National Pig Day - and I see a whole lot of pigs all over the place! What were the odds of that?!?
National Pig Day! (March 1st): Pigs are friendly and (contrary to popular belief), intelligent creatures who bring cheer to all who know them personally. In days gone by, they were considered sacred to the Goddess Isis, and regarded as bringers of rain by some Native American tribes. Often the unwilling Guest of Honor to the breakfast table, Pigs carefully process their own breakfasts into a nourishing food for flowers and other plants.
Wow - the USofA have such a "holiday" too?
I had no idea!!!
And, as fate would have it (blame it on a... pigxie?) I would see a lot of them that day too... oui, oui!
In a rare chain of events, I caught an episode of "Duck Dodgers" on TV today - there was Porky Pig! That insufferable stutterer!
Later on, I caught this reality TV show that actually serves a purpose - those "angels" who build new homes for families that really need it (as long as they're all-American families that will make for good TV! Although I caught a repeat on a FRENCH NETWORK where the show is known as "Les Anges de la Rénovation" I believe!)
And who was helping out on that particular episode? Fozzy The Bear (anyway I think that's his name - I never liked him! I never liked Fonzie either, mind you... But that is another story), Kermit The Frog (why bother telling which is which anymore? Any two-bit lame brain can tell which one is the frog, at least!) and... of course, you've guessed it... Miss Piggy!
That made two piggies on National Pig Day!
The trifecta was obtained when a whole lot of them Pigs (cops) came down TO MY NEIGHBORHOOD to finally (FINALLY) clean it up (sure took them a long time to figure out that it needed cleaning too!) and they took away a whole bunch of a certain kind of individuals in my "hood"... yeah...
And me - with all that incentive, did I pig out on fast food and junk food? NO SIR! I had my regular three-course meal with all the basic food groups well represented... and a cup of tea!
One cannot be luminous and "pig out" - EVER!
Anything of the kind would be... ludicrous!
And uncivilized too!
