(BANG) - 'Desperate Housewife' Marcia Cross (the tall redhead on the pics) plans to marry her fiancé Tom Mahoney in an intimate white wedding next year.

The smitten actress also revealed she knew the businessman was "the one" as soon as they met.

The sexy 43-year-old, who plays neurotic Bree Van De Kamp in the hit show, revealed: "I'm getting married next year - it's going to be my only marriage.

"I met Tom last December, but we didn't go out until the beginning of January.

"I knew pretty quickly he was the man for me. It's one of those things - the old cliché, 'You'll know him when you meet him.'"

The couple's nuptials will be spread over a weekend with just close friends and family. The actress also plans to wear a beautiful, white wedding gown.

She added: "It's really important to me that our families and friends are together and comfortable at our wedding and that we just have a really nice weekend together.

"I will probably be wearing a traditional white dress. I'm pretty traditional."

The screen beauty also revealed she has realistic expectations of her marriage.

She confessed to America's Boston Common magazine: "I suspect nothing's perfect. So that's the first thing: to go in with realistic expectations."
